Formed by founding members of grindcore legends Insect Warfare, including drummer Dobber Beverly. Named after the Bolt Thrower album.

San Marcos, Texas gave rise to Warhead Wrex in 2019, a band built on the collision of death metal's extremity with groove metal's undeniable physical pull. Situated between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of the Texas metal corridor, they tap into the region's tradition of raw, powerful heavy music while keeping things thick and visceral. The groove is not a concession — it is the whole point.

West Odessa, Texas is not a place typically associated with brutal death metal, but Worm Food have been pushing that boundary since forming in 2023. The band brings a punishing, low-end-heavy attack to the West Texas oil country, trafficking in the genre's most extreme sonic violence.

A Texas-based project formed in 2024, Worminfestedcorpse operate at the most punishing end of the brutal death metal and slam spectrum. Brand new to the scene, the band is already committed to the genre's most extreme sonic and lyrical territory, with a name that makes no pretense about the aesthetic.
Devastating Death Metal out of Texas.

Denton, Texas's Wrought of Obsidian have been one of the more distinctive voices in the state's black metal underground since 2010, working a melodic black/death vein with sharp, often haunting guitar work that draws on Scandinavian melodic traditions without simply replicating them. Denton's art-heavy cultural scene has clearly left its mark on their approach.
