Austin's Egypt trades in sludge and stoner metal with a Texas-sized thickness, formed in 2009 in a city whose creative underground has always made room for bands willing to slow down and get filthy.
Austin's Emerald Wolfen channel the city's storied stoner and doom heritage into slow, lysergic riff cycles built for volume and open space — music that feels as much at home in the Texas Hill Country as it does in a sweat-soaked venue.
